This project is a new sports facility at Wellsway Secondary School in Keynsham.
The building contains changing for indoor and outdoor sports, a dance studio, biomechanics room and gym area. The main focus is a 6 court sports hall; viewed from the internal first floor balconies.
The construction of the building is steel frame with a mixture of external finishes including facing brickwork at low level with areas of timber and insulated render at high level. As a result the building sits well within the landscape and certainly complements the existing sports facilities.
MEP Engineering Solutions Ltd were appointed by the services contractor to undertake detailed design duties.
The project achieved Breeam Very Good status
