This development comprises the redevelopment of the existing car park and adjacent single storey restaurant to provide a mixed use development comprising commercial (retail/café) with student accommodation. The commercial floor space is located at ground floor level adjacent to the southern site boundary to give an active frontage onto the principal street façade. This is complemented by the adjacent entrance and reception area for the student accommodation that has a frontage towards The Kingsway.
The height of the building varies between 5 and 13 stories and provides a mixture of cluster flats and self contained studios.
In addition, shared facilities include on-site gym, study rooms, common room and bicycle storage. A reception and concierge service is provided with on-site teams, along with 24 hour security and high tech swipe card access control systems.
MEP Engineering Solutions Ltd were appointed by the Client to prepare Employers Requirements documents and undertake site works monitoring and quality control.
